“…You’re not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why…
Did you have to go and leave my world so cold…”
Michael Jackson – You’re not Alone

Two days ago, I was aghast when this article revealed Michael Jackson’s death after collapsed at his rented mansion at Los Angeles. Many people sent their condolences to his gone and then it’s triggered an outpouring of grief around the world, slowing down Internet traffic and causing his album sales to soar. Jacko was noted to have already been in cardiac arrest by the paramedics who attended his house.
Well, Jacko’s death was very tragic for me. Here, he was a great performer and had wonderful talents to perform his creation. I always recognize him and his role as the king of pop. That’s it, he’s a legend! People will never forget his physically complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk in which he appeared to slide backwards across the surface of the stage.

I knew Jacko when I was five. I watched he sang “Thriller” song in TVRI and then I liked to sing that song. When I was seven, I puled my mom to buy me the “Dangerous” album since I adored his song “Heal The World” and “Remember The Time”, so did my mom. However, I still don’t get why she dislikes “Black & White” so much. When I asked her, she just said “it’s not my type!!”
Some of Jacko’s songs are very memorable for me. In 1995, when I was a fourth grader, he populized “You Are Not Alone” song. It was the first time to know what is the meaning of love, togetherness, friendship, and of course girlfriend after my aunt translated the lyric in Bahasa and explained its meaning for me.
Unfortunately, some controversies has grown around him including his skin appearing whiter, an issue he blamed on a skin disease and treatment for burns suffered after his hair caught on fire. In 1993, he was accused of sexual abuse by 13-year-old Jordan Chandler. The rumours about his sexual behavior wouldn’t go away and in 2003 he was once again accused of child molestation, although this time the case did make it to court.
Beside all controversies around him, he actually can be classified as a philanthropist. He donated and raised millions of dollars for beneficial causes through his foundations, charity singles, and support of 39 charities.

Now he’s already died. Whereas this year was tipped as the comeback of the century for him. He had been scheduled to perform 50 sold-out concerts to over one million people at London’s O2 arena, from July 13, 2009 to March 6, 2010, which he had implied during a press conference would be the final concert of his career.[1] He’s a fantastic musician after all, and I still can’t believe that the world has been lost one of the best people, Michael Jackson!! Good bye, Jacko !!
